FAQ’s

How is platelet rich plasma made?

By leveraging cutting-edge technology, medical professionals can extract a small portion of your blood and isolate the golden yellow plasma, rich in platelets, from your red blood cells. This concentrated plasma, known as Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP), is prized for its high platelet content and remarkable healing properties.

Is it painful?

The blood sampling procedure mirrors what you may have encountered at a doctor’s office or hospital – more uncomfortable than painful.

As for the application or injection of PRP, discomfort is typically minimal, though it varies depending on the treated area. If needed, we can administer a local anesthetic or apply numbing gel to ensure your comfort.

What are platelets

Platelets are a type of blood cell which are reservoirs of natural growth factors. When platelets find themselves out of their normal environment (in your blood vessels), they release the growth factors which are responsible for the healing and regenerative process. This is how your body naturally handles injuries. The same powerful healing mechanism is triggered when platelets are injected into treatment areas such as your skin or scalp.

We aim to create a ‘natural look’ with lower doses more frequently to avoid a frozen face, and we generally recommend repeat treatments every 3-4 months to achieve the best results.

Can I still have botox/ fillers with this?

Yes! Although they may require separate appointments.
